Abdullah in his role as Chief Financial Analyst at the Capital Markets Authority in Kuwait is currently the Project Manager for the project on the Implementation of XBRL in Kuwait. In parallel, he is the Project Manager for the project on Development of the Capital Adequacy Framework for Licensed Entities in Kuwait. Both of these projects are part of a national strategic initiatives, that aim to alleviate Kuwait’s economy from frontier to emerging. With 7+ years of experience in supervision and risk assessment, Abdullah has developed his expertise in the local implementation of the Basel and IFRS accords. To complement this experience, Abdullah was also the member of the Liquidity Risk Management Working Group (LRMWG) established by the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) that set Guiding Principles for Liquidity Risk Management (GPLRM) in accordance with the IFSB Guidelines and Procedures.
