Mr Iliris received his Bachelor’s degree from Economics (2001) from Bilkent University and MBA degree on “Management Sciences” (2003) from Sabanci University, two of the most reputable universities in Turkey.

After his graduation, he fulfilled his military obligation and worked as a free-lance consultant for a short period. Between 2005 and 2012, he worked in Citibank Turkey’s Securities Fund Services (SFS) Department as the Deputy Operations Manager, mainly responsible for developing systems and processes, new business and projects initiation, local settlements and CRM. During his tenure at Citibank, he had many achievements in launching new businesses as part of cross-regional assignments, increasing STP ratios, automating systems, eliminating risky processes and acquiring new clients. At the beginning of 2012, he left Citibank to pursue new career opportunities and joined Merkezi Kayit Kurulusu (MKK) – the Central Securities Depository of Turkey, as the Head of International Relations and Corporate Communications. In this role he focuses mainly on establishing new operational links, developing new business models, establishing commercial partnerships with foreign CSDs and ICSDs as well as marketing and sales of MKK’s in-house developed products as software (SaaS). He also acts as the spokesman of the company at international conferences and seminars.
