International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)
Rita Clijmans is a senior technical manager at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) where she is mainly working on the IFRS Taxonomy. Rita led the development of the IFRS Taxonomy due process. She is now responsible for IFRS Taxonomy stakeholder engagement and also contributes to the development of new taxonomy content. Before joining the staff of the IASB, she worked for over 20 years for Thomson Reuters where she was involved in the building of a global reporting taxonomy for financial reporting.
With securities regulators and business registrars around the world increasingly relying on the IFRS accounting framework, and the taxonomy published by the IASB, this session aims to discuss best practices, benefits, problems and next steps.
